Forgot that there was no Figure Invention for Animation class yesterday, so I took a walk around Pasadena looking for a place to draw and have dinner, and eventually found it on the patio of AKA Bistro. Perfect choice because the patio was elevated to a considerable degree, and overlooked a square where people sat on tables and benches that were neither too close nor too far from where I was seated; I could sketch people without having to worry about those awkward staredowns that leave you feeling like a stalker. I also got to enjoy the bistro’s Charcuterie plate, and a glass of Malbec. I felt so classy!
